Hello. Thanks for adding me to the group. It's good to be back on a Ducati. I had an 888 SP3 a long time ago. It was the bike I'd wanted since I was 14 and I waited 20 years to get one. I then spent more time pushing it than riding it. It eventually had to go and was replaced by a series of track and road bikes including a Honda VTR1000 SP2 for about 14 years. Now in my 50s (just) I need something comfortable so about 18 months ago I bought a 2013 Multistrada 1200. I should have done it years ago. That said, I now have an ABS/Speed Sensor error message so will go and search the threads as I'm sure I'm not the first to have an electrical gremlin on a Ducati. Cheers Andy ("Smokingboots" was a nickname from when I used to race as a sidecar passenger and got dragged along the main straight at Elvington.....)
Despite the fact that it was completely unreliable and eventually ate its own sprag clutch, I'd buy another one tomorrow if I could.... It was an 888 SP3 but the previous owner had fitted SPS bodywork, carbon cans, race exhaust, carbon airbox and lots of other things that made it more exotic. An oil and filter change now and again may have been a better investment.
