Nordvpn?

  1. I'm at the stage where it feels as if the authorities are just trolling us now as there's something almost every day. Yesterday was this nonsense where the Police are, yet again, trying to control "pre-crime": https://www.independent.co.uk/news/...calling-surrey-women-harassment-b2806738.html

I know I keep mentioning it, but we are in a state of "anarcho-tyranny" and I'm only half joking about the authorities trolling us btw as it is common for authoritarian regimes to engage in ethically/legally inconsistent conduct as a tactic designed to disorientate and demoralise its citizens. Abusers also do similar things to their victims.

I find myself in agreement with Rupert Lowe when he says the British state has become the enemy of the people.

  2. Been using HMA VPN for some years now. No issues.

  3. Yeah that would not be so easily deployed to ban VPN - most, if not all companies having any workers remotely logging in on a laptop, they all use VPN to get into company infrastructure. They would screw up a lot of business.

  4. On your PC, do you have to manually instigate the connection to the VPN? if so then you can check what your IP address is before and after (manually) connecting and see if they are different.

  5. And looking at the Proton VPN free service it appears it has only 5 servers in the Netherlands, Japan, Romania, Poland and the US. So if your PC automatically connects to the VPN on start up, and my slowly depleting tech knowledge : unamused: is correct, a single what's my ip address should show one of these countries.

  6. I’m of the school that shuts everything down when finished, after doing a virus scan and deleting history so I have to connect to the VPN every time. The dashboard as you have found, shows those 5 servers and gives you the option of connecting to 1 of them. I did a sort of reverse check by running BBC I player whilst ‘in’ the Netherlands and I Player wouldn't run due to my geolocation. It works :D Andy
