"A Land Rover Discovery" What is it about these !killer" cars, or is it the drivers that they attract?
That's the sort of Facebook type crap that causes all the problems P. I thought you were more intelligent than that.
I drive a Landrover Discovery and ride a Ducati motorbike (but not at the same time). Where does that put me in your stereotypical mindset?
Sorry, I should first say that I agree how sad this news is, Perry's inflammatory, ill-informed, unintelligent post simply Pissed me off. Actually I happen to drive my Blue Discovery through Bishops Waltham quite often. I've had 4 Discoveries, and probably done over 300K miles in them. So far, to my knowledge, I've not Killed anyone, nor want to. What sort of Driver am I Perry? I eagerly await your response. .
I just don't know and really don't. My opinion (based upon recent experience in a car) is that knowing that if you are in a Disco everybody else, but you, will come off worse in a crash does effect my judgement of Disco drivers. Mind you, I can be wrong about things. People said that my Ford would be written off as being over ten years old and only worth a few grand but it was repaired and they did a great job. Maybe the Disco got written off.
May as well get today’s one written up while you’re here… https://www.ducatiforum.co.uk/threads/possible-topic.103712/
there's a very strong chance that someone on here knows who this is, very sad. several conflicting accounts but 70 years old i think. RIP
I do a lot of driving for work and often in rural areas, so a real mix of motorways, A roads and borderline green lanes. You meet morons in all sorts of cars. least year, my oppo and I started keeping score on types of cars that did stupid/ dangerous stuff e.g. diving across a motorway at the last minute when they realise they are missing a junction, pulling out on you etc etc. We split it into vans, small cars, big cars (exec Audi/ BMW), HGV and SUV/ 4x4. To my surprise over 70% of incidents were 4x4/ SUV type vehicles. Vans were barely over 10%! Whether it’s inexperienced drivers, the sheer size of the things creating blind spots, or a ‘I can survive anything’ mentality I don’t know. But it has made me incredibly wary of them when out on a bike. My car is bright blue and sometimes we are in a badged vehicle which is predominantly green and white, so you would think we were fairly easy to see.
It doesn’t matter what you do or where you go: car, van, bike, cycle, train, aeroplane, walking the dog, going to the shops, a gig, the cinema….. ……..at some point you’ll come across either selfish, entitled or unthinking shitheads. They are not defined by gender, colour, age, height/weight, vehicle, dog breed. They are, quite simply, cvnts. Edited to add, my sincere condolences to the friends and family of the gentleman lost in this incident. If someone was at fault, let’s hope that is identified and dealt with appropriately.
Oh man ain't that the truth... and how do they end up like that? It's gotta be so much harder to live such a life than well... just being nice.
Aside from being brought up by knuckle draggers, they are likely just how more and more of society seem to be these days.
there's always one. https://www.dailypost.co.uk/news/north-wales-news/11am-update-picture-mark-bridger-2647703
