Do you mean the bolt through the stand ? Referred to as the “sidestand axle”? As it’s the same on the 1098 as the 998…
Yeah think so mate, when I did my 996 the 1198 stand fitted but when I did the original 996 bolt up it bottomed out and the stand wouldn't move, so got the 1198 bolt in there and bingo, perfect.
For the sake of twenty quid, I might take a punt on one of the Chinese jobs, if only as a temporary safety measure, whilst I investigate 1098 stands etc.[/QUOTE] Fair enough. Best of luck. Some people want top $ for 1098 stands. I have picked up 2 over the last 7-8 years for $20 each.
I thought I'd just check out the new price. With people asking £120-150 for a second-hand one, I figured they'd prob be at least double that. But just double-check, cos I've been caught out before with secoond-hand prices... Turns out a brand-new one is *only* £155! After a bit of ringing around, Ducati Bridgwater reckon they can get one to me in a couple of weeks. I'm going for that.
