  5. £3.03 delivered worth it for simple man & free bird alone, good album though.

  6. When I worked this was one of my go to albums to make for a jolly day.... and as you say Simple Man is cracking track.

  7. Another vote for Simple Man, especially when played live to a backdrop of Bic lighters.

And I don't think this gets the credit it deserves...

  8. This one is another favourite, Billy Powell on piano

  9. Probably quite fun if you were there at the gig, but imho, musically it is not a patch on the original.

  10. JJ Cale was another one I listened to when at work... Clapton was a big fan (of JJ & not me :D) & they made an album together.

  11. But is it as good as this Simple Man?

  12. yes, Eric Clapton adopted that style/structure and made it his own didn't he.

  13. Yep, & wiith a good deal more technical skill it has to be said - although JJ Cale does show that simple can be just as good.

  14. I've just noticed the link was to just one track & not the complete album

  15. if not better to be honest:)

  16. I know what you mean, although I recently watched the Cream reunion concert and thought Clapton was peerless. I much prefer him when he plays rock based, rather than blues based, stuff.
