How do I get the damn thing disconnected? My keys were stolen. I need to remove the HFCU and send it to SOS Diagnostics in Oregon to have a new set made. I have the bike torn down to the HFCU but can't get the 6 pin connector separated. The male piece looks to have catches on 3 sides and only one lift up tab on the front. Inserting a screwdriver under the lift tab doesn't seem to lower the catch on the front side or the catches on the sides. I've spent hours on the connector over 3 days and the only ideas I have left are bad ones that are likely to damage something. I'm wondering whether there are special tools and/or what I'm not doing that I should be doing. Does anyone have any experience with this connector? I appreciate any help you can give. I have pics, but am not on any of the platforms listed for upload.
With a small, flat blade, electrical screwdriver or some other similar tool, You need to either push down on the inner part in the yellow circle or push the screwdriver under the cross bar of the H where the red arrow is pointing whilst at the same time pulling the 2 components apart. there is a barbed catch that clicks into place under the cross piece of the H so you need to get the cross piece of the H above the barb. The 2 halves of the connector get dry & dirty and tend to stick together through friction, spray some WD40 or GT85 in there and it will act as a lubricant to assist in the 2 parts sliding apart.

Thanks Paul. I'm going to try that. Also see the marked up photo that I attached. If there is no rubber gasket causing the dark area inside the connector, then the male part must be a bit too far out of the female so I can't get the screwdriver in far enough to move the catch. Tomorrow I'll lube the housings as you suggest and also use electrical lubricant to spray into the male electrodes as they may be dirty/corroded and unable to be pushed deeper int o the female electrodes to allow the screwdriver access.
The male part is fully home, it always sticks out slightly like that, it’s never flush with the female part.
Thanks much. I was overthinking this connector. I put a bit of lube in the housing, lifted the tab, and it came apart easily. I think the CRC contact lube swelled the rubber gasket. Later today I'm going to remove the gasket, dry it out, and reinsert it. Do you know if I can get a fresh gasket anywhere, or possibly buy a new connector piece and swap out the gasket? Do you have the mfr and part number for that connector piece?
They’re Sumitomo connectors as @chrisw linked to above. You’ll pick them up on Amazon I’m sure. You’ll have to de-pin the current one though. I don’t think you’ll just be able to buy the gasket. Try what Chris said first, that’s just the gasket in the water, not the complete connector.
