Does anyone know what (and how) the procedure is to recalibrate the rear suspension? Should it be on the side stand so it’s loaded or on the main stand with no weight on it? is there any documentation of this process anywhere?
I have started to put questions like yours into ChatGPT. Primarily to see if it can come up with the answer. It has been a bit hit and miss. Primarily accurate but with some mistakes. Check out the reply. Try adding the details of your bike as requested. https://chatgpt.com/share/68b4b491-b4f0-8013-98ce-73e674ae112c
I dumped my BT Moto tune into the ECU at the weekend, and unaware that it was going to happen it done a “Preload Recalibration”, not really a problem but I had the bike on the main stand so the wheel was just hanging. I think that it probably should have had some weight on it. I can go through the process again if I have to, but would rather just perform a re-calibration, but can’t find details anywhere.
You can download a digital copy of the owner’s manual from here, https://www.ducati.com/gb/en/service-maintenance/owner-manuals. There is a specific section on how to do a factory default reset on the rear preload. Andy
That was actually quite helpful. I dug a little deeper on the V4 and it came back with this: “PRE LOAD CALIBRATION WAIT” After battery reconnect On any stand Unloaded Automatic I didn’t provide a link of where it came from, but has put my mind at rest.
