Coincidentally, I have just fitted a new Rosso3 rear tyre to the 916 this afternoon, the old one was showing the cords around the centreline...
I always look at tyres from the point of view that when these bikes came out they were not putting out a lot more than 130hp. So if the tyres available back then we’re ok then any modern sports tyre is going to be able to handle that sort of power without any grief, especially when many are now used on bikes pumping out 200 plus. As for my bike I still run 2ct and I’ve got 160hp in my 996 chassis. On road or track they still work really well for me.
