Pro Cycling (giro, Tdf, Vuelta) Etc… Spoilers

  1. Jay Vine wins from the breakaway for the second time.

Sure we’ve had more breakaway wins in the first 10 days of the Vuelta than the whole TDF.
Much less posturing and willy waving from the GC contenders.
    Enjoyable.

The Catalans know a fascist when they see one too.

  2. Olaf Kooij goes back to back in another sprint finish of the Tour of Britain.

Crazy narrow roads going into the final couple of KM made me wince tbh.

Sam Watson top Brit in 3rd.

  3. Stage eleven of the Vuelta bought to a shuddering halt in protest of the genocide in Gaza at the finish line.
No stage winner and times taken with 3km to go.
This will only get bigger too.
    Chapeau my Spanish hombres.
Meanwhile we’re pointing at dinghies shouting at hotels and painting zebra crossings, pathetic. No wonder they hate our ex pat gammonati.

  4. Huge breakaway at today’s Vuelta. Over 50 riders!
Only Israel Premier Tech (bleurgh) not having a rider involved.
Juan Ayuso goes clear of Javier Romo (Movistar) at the finish to take his second stage win of the tour.
Rather less dramatic than yesterday’s stage.
    No change in the GC.

  5. Matthew Brennan wins the third stage of the Tour of Britain in a sprint finish.

  6. Haha priorities etc…

  10. Don't recall cycling being at the forefront of politics I'm only a casual viewer though. Pity they couldn't come up with examples political protests in previous Tours.

  11. Mads Pedersen wins the 15th stage of the Vuelta easily (already in the green jersey) in a sprint finish.
Sensational and barring Pogi he has to be up there for rider of the year.
