No, I’m not going to do one, I’d really like someone out there to rummage through their ‘off-cuts’ and find a tail section that was cut off. I love the stock look and have a ‘94 M900 that’s been chopped. I’d really like to restore it’s originality, so if anyone has that bit of frame can you please let me know? Thank you!
I saw an advert somewhere for a company which makes the section new. Really sorry I can’t remember exactly where (old age!) but maybe someone on here will know.
Definitely an option… I guess if someone has some good quality pictures, i could fabricate something. However, if someone has the off-cut they would be up for selling, then that would be 10x easier. I would also have a perfect material match for welding! I’ll give this post some time to stew and see if anyone pops up with the goods!
So, it looks like I will be doing a tail chop after all! Bought the cheap frame and will do precisely as suggested in the forum and resell it as a ‘chopped’ frame. Sorted! Forgot how much I love this forum (it’s been a while).
^ Thought of this route obviously but didn't occur to me you would want the extra stress of going down this path - i certainly wouldn't! but we are all different, and glad you've got your solution.
