Cool thanks just about to pull the trigger on some subframe covers for the SFV4 that are on offer at the moment
Yes. It’s very good quality, thicker (more layers) than cheaper stuff, hence the price, and I’ve not had a piece that’s had to be ‘tweaked’ to fit yet. I’ve fitted parts to an M1100S and a Multi V4PP. As I mentioned above, Ilmberger manufacture some of the current Ducati DP OEM parts.
I had one piece from them, not great quality. The part looked good cosmetically but the hard points and threads were very poor quality and failed very quickly. It looked like they were stuck on with some cheap filler material. Don't buy anything that's not in stock. They quote 6 weeks but they never deliver on time. It's more like 6 months. Quite a few people on the MV forum had similar experiences to me.
Upon reflection, I can confirm. I got some extended hand guards (top part) and the mounting threads were stuck on with some epoxy which was applied really badly and not in the exact position which causes a bit of torque on the part when bolted down.
The thing I noticed about the Full six stuff is that it’s really well reinforced around mounting points, sometimes even with metal washer bonded in to the weave, it’s definitely good kit but you pay for that! Luckily I bought all mine 2nd hand
No was from an eBay company. Proper registered one though that supply a lot of ilmberger parts seemingly ?
No problem they look nice. I purchased the subframe covers and they look better quality than the Ducati carbon. They didn’t come with instructions and seem to have more fixing points than I first thought! Has anyone fitted the subframe covers to a SFV4 please ? Hoping I don’t have to dismantle half the bike lol!
