I never knew that Exeter was bombed during WW2. It was doing quite well until the North and Midlands got really on it with on manufacturing. Only really eisure and farming after that.
Tried some more culture in Exeter and visited The Guildhall. Next to it was a pub and I went in as I really needed a waz! But they brew as well. The loo was forgotten about when I discovered that they also brew. It was before twelve so that were not doing food but they can serve their beer from ten in the morning! There beer was brilliant! I forgot the toilet and just hit the beer. It was brilliant! I've never drank beer in the morning before, but it was Beer O'Clock every hour from 10am! I had loaded chips when they started doing food, It was really nice. I got confused about re-ordering the beer that I liked and so bought a pint of a different one. That was very good as well! Forget the doing culture shit! The place is worth visiting Exeter for! The Guildhall:
The train worked well on the way home and the train ends up in Dundee later on this evening. If I didn't have shit to do here, I would be tempted to just stay on the train. I've never been to Dundee! It seems that Chase de Vere will get my money and providing my id over a Microsoft Teams call, will be sufficient, I'm assured. I'll do the call just to get the ID thing out of the way. I am also fascinated to learn what excuses will be given as to why I can't have my stash. There is still £15,000 outstanding that I asked for weeks ago, so that's the first thing to get straight. Then, it will be £40,000 p.a. paid to me on the 1st of January from now on. The excuses for refusal will be interesting. But the big task is to decide on how to get to Jersey later in the year. Poole or Portsmouth are the ports, but neither are easy to do by train. Don't fancy flying there, so dunno. I'm off to Plymouth in a few weeks, so will have a tink. I could go to France from Plymouth and then France to Jersey, but maybe next year, after my Spanish expeditions!
You could ride one of your bikes to Poole? Maybe stop over someplace on route overnight? Having a bike on Jersey might be pretty handy!
