So story is.
Recently bought a 2001 ss ie loving it but always a bit
It has a bad fuel leak from the tank.
Discovered previous owner did a rubbish temporary repair.
Cannot for life of me find replacement tank and £600 to repair.
Found one tank where advert says tank is for a ss 1999 to 2007 but does not know part number? another says part number ends AA but my bike part number ends DA are these the same? Does anyone know of a tank or repair for me? Or with 31,000 mile on clock should I scrap bike?

Neil,

I have a red tank off a 1999 900SSIE, it's not perfect, it has two small dents and a couple of scratches.
