  1. Yep for a bike you can’t buy for a race series that’s being dropped at the end of this season due to lack of public interest. Hard to see it will make a meaningful test for the tech

  2. I am pretty sure the Ducati MotoE agreement includes the 2026 season.....

Edit: It did, however now doesn't! (announced the day after they announced this bike!)

  3. Yeah, I’m not against battery, I think there is a market for it, but it’s not big ‘capacity’ and certainly isn’t in racing. My mate was at Barcelona and the kit they have and safety procedures they have just to run them far outweighs the difference between them and sustainably fuelled motorcycles. I could be wrong, but I suspect the reason it’s canned is because many like me can’t make the numbers work

  4. They hampered MotoE by only having it at certain rounds. I personally cannot be bothered to work out which ones and miss the first couple and then have no real investment in keeping up with it, so later in the season if it pops up I don't have an interest. If they could get it at all rounds (I suspect the faff that goes with it prevents that) then more people would follow it. I wonder if Ducati my try to start something up in their domestic championship?

On a related note I see the FIM MX World Championship is introducing an MXEP class from next year.

  5. I did read Stark are against the idea of a separate class as its against innovation.
Their bike would rip the petrol fuelled bikes a new one.
