1200 Best Way To Remove Oil Screen Tube- 2013 1200s

  1. I'm sure this is a really easy question. So easy I could find no mention of it in past Multistrada posts.

I'm having a bit of trouble removing the oil screen tube from my 2013 Multistrada. My right hand is a bit damaged/disabled, but I don't think that's the issue. What is the best way to remove that tube?

    Thanks for your help.

  2. on My DVT i removed it with a pair of pliers grabbing the inner plastic circle, I managed to get it out but then noticed someone else who had cleaned it previously had damaged it and i would say by removing it the same way:mad:

  3. It’s often possible to use a pair of exterior circlip pliers.

  4. It is best to pull the oilscreen down using round-nose pliers on the tube,
taking care not to damage the tube. Replace any damaged oilscreen, otherwise air instead of engine oil may be drawn in if the tube is too short, with the oil level at minimum.
