  1. I always want to avoid the school holidays wherever I go. Spain is typically sunny and ideal everywhere from May, though it can be cold in the mountains until June.

  2. totally agree, I turned down a trip to Italy in August as I thought it would be too hot, I was proved right, they had several days over 40°

  4. I think alot of people are starting to change their times and destinations of holidays due to the heat.
over 34 ish for me is just not overly comfortable unless i have a pool and a sun shade.

  5. Yeah being retired I’m fortunate to be able to pick the best times to go on holiday, it’s much better when the kids are at school and the temps are mid 20’s to 30 and everywhere is just that bit quieter.

  7. Sounds like a great route. Looking to do my first euro solo. Just brought a 2016 multi so looking to get some miles in on it as im just about to retire. Any chance I could get a copy of your route?
    Thanks.

  8. Did a similar tour this year. Stayed at the other hotel in la Vid, which I had been in the monastery !

  9. Mattie, July and August are stinking hot. Your lid will be more like a bucket if you go mid summer.
Down south in Spain February and March the weather is unstable and not recommended. Other than that, fill your boots, and your tank.

I’m down in Andalusia now. I’ve just done a 4 day circular trip and it’s been fantastic. I’ll post an update in the
‘What have you done today’ thread.

Off to Italy before the weekend but that’s another story.
