959 Any Thoughts On This 959?

  1. Yes in my opinion. Great bike and low mileage. If it’s got fsh then great. Good that it’s got the 1199 underslung style çan. Exhausts were the only downside I didn’t like about my 959.

  2. I was lucky enough to have 1199/1299 pipes on mine and much preferred it to the shotguns.

Nice bike, decent mileage. Cracking exhausts (not sure if it needs/has a map for them?)

Wish it had a seat cowl…...

  3. vendors says the following:

    Full akrapovic exhaust system
    Race screen
    Engine remap to race mode
    Break leaver guard
    Lower fairing conversion

  4. Do it

Buy it a seat cowl though :)

  5. Will struggle with noise testing.

  6. Are you only interested in an 959?
There’s a lovely 899 in the for sale section :eyes:

  7. The exhausts are a real nice to have, but towards rhe end of the run of bikes they were offered as a £2k ish add on. Tbh regardless of the claims the bike looks clean and tidy and well priced. Be warned though, without the special JHP baffles you won’t get on track in the uk with them. It’s just a consideration.

I just bought a 959 corse myself, but it was £12k at a dealer, had less than 2k miles. Used private they go for around £10k so £8k for clean standard bikes is about right, this is a little better than average price I’d say

  8. Do you know roughly parts and Labour to get them fitted?

  9. You just need the standard Akrapovic baffles, I’ve got a receipt with mine that were about £110 for the mods

they end up looking like this and really do make the bike as quiet as stock! Just at the expense of some performance.

  10. That looks like a beautiful bike and a great price with those add-ons imho. I had a 959 and it's one of only two bikes I've ever regretted selling.

With my super cynical bike buying head on, I'd be a little cautious, just because of all the sh1t in the background of pic #6 and the fact he says its been stored in a heated garage, yet the pics in the garage show painted brick walls. Bearing in mind the bike is in Scotland, heating an uninsulated (hopefully not the case) garage is going to be very spendy, and if one thing is BS, what about the rest.

  11. Looks to be a new build house and garage , light weight block inner skin ,would have to have insulated cavity to meet building regs etc ,should be efficient and not to spendy to heat , and bike looks lovely ,

  12. well it was sold before i contacted the vendor but he didnt take the ad down
this looks similar lower mileage but slower colour and nasty clutch cover - the vendor said he doesnt have the original exhaust so is the case that the dealer would keep the original exhaust and the original lower fairings if teh bike was supplied with the kit?
