the Royal Oilfield - if an "early" british bike didn't leave an oil patch then it meant there was something wrong (maybe an empty crankcase).
Remember browsing in a bike shop back in the 80's and every British bike in there had a tray underneath.
that can be quite a blessing with a fully faired Ducati because it has its own oil catcher. When my oil pressure switch (the first of many) failed on the 1098 I was almost oblivious! Was quite a shock when I saw the size of the leak.
I've had a head like cotton wool most of the day and at one point the room started spinning vertically and horizontally...........I'm putting it down to the new meds I've been put on. It's not been a very pleasant day tbh.
Waiting for fucking Bridgestone S23 to turn up to replace the 200 odd mile fucking dunlop tyre that got split with a bit of a stanley knife blade....
I occasionally have 'vertigo' days whereby I go a little dizzy/unbalanced when bending over with my head low down, or suddenly moving my head to one side or getting up too quickly. I put this down to been an old fart but I read somewhere that blocked sinuses can cause lost balance etc as they are somehow connected, pressure wise, to the middle ear. So, for me, when I start to feel like that is a long soak in a hot bath, a few good blasts of nasal spray and perhaps a nice afternoon nap.
Went to Fowlers. Stuffed face with a gert lush bacon bap. Got talking about cruises and it turn out the guy whose table I invaded does this stuff. In a few months time, he is going from Southampton to Norway for a Northern Lights cruise. I still don't know what I think about it. Went to see the Royal Enfield Guerilla and it turns out that Fowlers have lost the franchise. Why do manufacturers do this? Guzii tried this shit and got found out. Now Guzzis are back. I'd have one for the shaft drive, but they are just too heavy for me. So with Enfield out of the picture, that leaves BSA. This would do and I am very tempted.
Had one of those go.on my VW Caravelle Petrol Auto, not sure if it lost oil quicker than it burnt through Petrol. 2.5 Petrol Auto..........
Fed up with your 390 or is something wrong with it? The BSA 350 Bantam has a lot less performance & as neither bike has armfuls of spare bhp/ torque that makes more impact.
Nah. Just browsing. Fowlers is just a convenient place to go. The café is great and browsing bikes is the big extra. I am a confused sole. I've never had so much money. It is in guarded trust fund and I haven't really tested how far I can push things. Again, not entirely true as I've requested about £86,000 to buy out an American cousin from our family company. Nobody has said 'no' but as yet, I haven't had the money. It's all a bit odd to me. I offered to give the money back to the trust once we sell up,in about four years, but that's not allowed, apparently. Once it's out, then it can't be put back. That seems crazy to me, but I know nothing.
