Just replaced top and bottom rads on a v2 race bike and putting the black plastic carrier/shroud back on the bike. Question 1 is what is this bracket in the picture for and is it essential with race fairings ?
Ah right thank you. It's pretty busy up there when you are trying to mount the shroud and it's not obvious to see where it goes. Another question if any one knows, there are 2 rubber mounting points lower down, these were not attached when I took it all off but the shroud is only held at the top. There are 2 bolt heads that screw into the front cylinder head, but I'm assuming you don't remove these, are the nuts like studs or something that you bolt the rad shroud into ? I should also say it's not running any cooling fans because of the aftermarket exhaust system it has so when looking at the parts diagrams it's not clear because the bike doesn't have all the fan parts !
