Carrello Spotlights from a Ford Escort XR3i (I think a factory race mechanic was sent down to the nearest branch of Halfords (the Italian Equivalent thereof, and given a list of bits to buy off the shelf) My design to mount them. as mounted on the fairing. And the original, photos sent to me a long time after I made my 'holders' not correct, but not far off! on the bike.... More to come.
Original. Magnesium Camshaft bearing blocks with cylinder head oil cooling pipes. Blue Arriete spark plug caps. Mine (yes I'm so anal to even source the same spark plug caps !) Original Valve covers, horizontal cylinder, inlet side magnesium. exhaust side 'slim-line' (some of the works bikes had one of these with an extra oil coolant pipe, whcih was tapped into the crankcases.... I have these but havent fitted them as I dont want to drill and tap the crankcases) Mine. More to come.
Original Rev counter as on Lucchinelli's bike Mine, standard 600,750,900SS rev counter. I got the 'dial' made by a fella in germany. made the needle myself. I carefully pried the bezel off, without much damage to it. I recently sent it to a chap in Scotland to Calibrate, but when he rolled the bezel back on the inner ring (which reflects the light from the small bulb in the back, onto the dial) slipped and blocked the needle. So I had to take the bezel off again. This time it was a lot tighter than originally and I really butcherd the back of the bezel. I have had to try to bend the back of the bezel back onto the instument housing, but it needs a heap of silicone on it to make it waterproof again. The speedo 'pod' is my design and I have it attached to the fairing in a position where nothing fouls it one full turn of the bars. It's removable as I was planning on doing track days when I started the build. The instruments are from a Moto Guzzi. Original Brake Master cylinder. Mine, managed to get a set of Master cylinders/levers from a Japanese Auction site. Original clutch Master Cylinder, a standard Supersort clutch controls, of which I had a few. I mounted a slimline switch unit which I found on Fleabay.
