I have a 696. Again, no issues with reliability. The suspensions was really lacking in particular the front. I'd say they were the worst front forks I've ever experienced and I usually can't tell the difference. These were shocking. Took quite a bit of work and ingenuity to get them right without breaking the bank.
GF has the 620ie which I'd guess is broadly similar and thats done 50k miles with hardly any issues. I also have a 900 but its a carby so would say as long as you look after them and service them regularly they are no better or worse than any other bikes. From memory I think that the 695 was the last of the classic (and best) shape Monsters so has the best of the old tech and most power for cc
