So wheeled the bike (899) out the garage tonight and fired it up, then put the side stand down and bike cut out. I tried to fire it up and it clicked like a flat battery would and the red immobiliser lights flashed twice. So I checked the battery voltage on the dash and it’s reading 11.5v. So I wheeled it back into the garage tried again but now it’s saying I’m in 1st gear when in neutral, but if I stand the bike straight off the stand neutral light comes on. So I jump started it while holding it upright. Bike fired up but died a second later, second attempt same thing. I’ve never seen anything like this, any help would be much appreciated as my head is done in. Only had the bike a couple of weeks and has ran fine, it was last rode on Monday for an hour and a half after work and was faultless.
Only thing that springs to mind is a possible cut out switch on the side stand coupled with a weak battery. But I’m sure others will come up with a more comprehensive answer Good luck either way
Well had the bike on charge all day, fired bike up first try and all seems good. The dash was reading 13.9v so I took it out for a spin staying local incase something happened, but it was fine so I think I’ll order a new battery and optimate to play it safe.
