Thanks No mate very little interest, shame as it's not often you find an unabused one like this. Think the market is currently very slow, and do understand the service, but with nearly 4.5k to service I wouldn't have thought they're the type of bike to use every day so probably at least 2 or 3 years away would be my guess and thought I had priced it accordingly. I've done 250 miles in almost 3 years so it clearly won't bother me for a while (16 years at this rate!) if I hang onto it, I'll be six feet under or far too old to ride it by the time I get 15k on the clock Think it will end up sitting in the garage for a while longer at this rate, ah well it's a nice thing to look at
Fair point re the service I had it in my mind it was 12k for some reason. Have you tried ducati uk owners group on face aids? Seem to be quite a few 1199s changing hands recently.
Folks, just to clarify following a recent enquiry - the bike is still available if required, it is getting very slight use and is MOT'd until next April. It has just been serviced (due to time rather than mileage as only 250 miles covered since last one!). Yes mate, I put it up for sale last year at a higher price - wasn't desperate to sell so wasn't prepared to accept silly money. It isn't being actively advertised anywhere else now, it has just remained on here ever since - I decided to just hang on to it for the odd spin out, but had a couple of recent enquiries/timewasters/call them what you will so updated the ad and a lower price just in case. If anyone is interested then it comes with all the bits now (they weren't part of the deal before, but if the bike does go then everything will go with it - I have a "new" classic bike in the garage now so the extra room would be handy!) Otherwise I'll just keep lovingly staring at it in it's corner for a few more years Cheers
