so this is still ongoing, spoke to them yesterday and they were working on the bike, just gutted now ive missed most of the summer, if i knew i would have bought a £2k run about, i just want my bike back now, see the thing is its my perfect bike, right size engine, can wide open throttle it with out killing yourself, great noise, no stupid modern electrics, no ABS, no euro 5 cack either. and its RED and looks the bollox. so ive been trawling auto trader going round in circles and honestly, theres no other brand for me now. cant make any decision until i get it back, will i have no confidence in it? will i be worried about a long trip? id prefer to keep it, i will have spent probably £14K all in, thats the price of an almost new one, but alas worth half that if lucky, so it makes more sense to keep it and keep putting 1000s of miles on it i might ask the guy to sell it for me, that way he's guaranteeing the work to the next buyer, id bite his hand for £7.5K or i chop it at a dealers and the replacement? really there is only one. a newish less that 3K panigale V2, with akropovic. red of course
so this nightmare is ongoing, the bike is now in bits, which concerns me obviously, i believe there is a back log in parts, its been 5 months of BS now, i cant lose my rag, but crikey I've come close just got to be patient i got so pissed off waiting i bought a temporary run about which i will get rid off as soon as the panigale comes back, as it stands its already sold on so hopefully i won't get stuck with 2 bikes for too long. im hoping its clean, i am told that all servicing is done, belts and fork seals done so fingers crossed.
Very cool runabout! Looks good and hopefully it will be a good stop gap. You will probably never want to sell it (but I am biased).
I had one of these, Monster 696 in San Francisco, total bag of bolts and one of the best bikes I ever owned, it was a tank and beyond a breeze to ride. You'll love it.
