Hiya folks,would anybody have a wiring diagram for a 2004 749 handy? Im looking for the colour of the wire that feeds the eml light on the speedo/cluster, thanks
I doubt if there’s a single wire that feeds the eml light on the instrument cluster. Not sure how it works exactly but there’s likely a number of faults that will result in it being illuminated- some kind of elektrikery/computer wizardry.
Ok,thanks for the reply,ive found a broken yellow with orange stripe wire in the loom,thought this might be the culprit
There is no single wire from the dash to the engine management light. The ECU communicates with the dash via the CANbus - pins 20 and 29 on the grey body connector of the ECU to pins 8 and 14 of the dash. There are no yellow/orange wires on a 749 but there are yellow/red wires in the lighting circuit. Probably the red has faded and looks orange.
