My 998S Final Edition is up for sale. The bike is available to view at the Bike Specialists, based in Sheffield and all enquiries should be made via themselves. As this is a Ducati forum, I'm not going to put too much blurb on this ad . If you are a serious potential purchaser, you'll know what the 998S FE is all about but, briefly, its a 2004 UK registered FE, the Biposto version . I'm the 2nd owner from new, mileage is 11,600. As you can see from the photos, it's equipped with the 50mm Carbon Termi's . The belts and Desmo service were done last year. Thanks for looking View attachment 345557 View attachment 345560
Hi John, Just seen your bike for sale, new member, literally just signed up today. I think forum rules is 30 posts before I can PM. I’d appreciate if you could message me with regards your bike. Cheers, Alan
Hi Alan, thanks for your interest. I don't have 30 posts here myself, so I'm not able to PM you either as far as I'm aware. Regarding my particular bike, I have reached an agreement with the Bike Specialists in Sheffield. They have the bike at their premises now and it's available for viewing at their Sheffield base. You may be aware they have a large number of Ducati's and other makes for sale, including many limited edition models such as the 998S FE. The bike is therefore (at the time of writing) still for sale, but via the Bike Specialists, not direct from me. As far as I am aware, it's the only 998S FE they currently have for sale and perhaps the only one in the UK at the moment, although I may be wrong on that last point. I have left this thread open, as technically the bike is still for sale, although when it is sold via the Bike Specialists I will obviously close this thread. I hope that clarifies the situation for you and anyone else who has a genuine interest. As far as the bike is concerned, I honestly believe you will struggle to find a better example given the mileage and it would be (in my opinion) well worth a trip to Sheffield to view the bike, if a 998S FE is what you are after.
John, if the bikes as you say £16k seems fair but the £20k the shop is asking is unfortunately over my budget. Cheers, Alan
I did, today, but the shop wants its £20k so unfortunately that’s that. Got my eye on another couple of bikes so hopefully get something sorted.
Unfortunately every bike they sell is overpriced and they won't budge a penny hence why most bikes have been for sale for months and months and agree 4k on top of what he was asking is greedy as most places like to see 2k profit not 4k lol
To be fair to John, none of us know the circumstances or contract of the sale. Probably best just to leave it at that and as far as I’m concerned all the best with the sale.
