  1. so if i want to go out for a little blat and want to wear jeans what are my options for a jacket with decent protection to AA or higher standard with making me look like a touring rider or courier?
i dont want a jacket that belongs to a two piece suit
and i steer clear of mainstream brands
ive been looking at held, spidi and furygan
but should i be looking at a pando moto shirt or perhaps a textile jacket
i actually think those rukka style jackets that are a bit longer dont look bad but im sure im missing something
ill be on my 999r so clearly i want to look epic

  2. I bought one these the-76-cafe-racer-jacket the bike show in February, just as a casual jacket really, its really nice leather, it's lined so no good if its really hot , can be fitted as an option with level 2 armour. Oh and I do look epic!

  3. I wear my Spidi but also often old school Meccanica on my 900, a Repsol team on my NC30 & a KTM on the 390. All leather.

    I always look 100% epic.

  4. thanks all
well i now need to get another number plate because ive put my bike away and my very expensive pro twins number plate fell off. i dont know how.

  5. FWIW, Rukka jackets, or at least the one I have, are extremely heavy and stiff and so not the sort of thing for casual “off bike” wear.

  6. thats snazzy. do you know where made?

  7. Currently setting up a Brands, I'll have a look Tuesday. Andy

  8. I have both of these Knox jackets and they make for a very adaptable outfit for touring. I combined these with John Doe jeans for a trip to the Dolomites this year and they were the best combo for the various conditions we encountered. The Knox over jacket isn't 100% waterproof but OK for showers. I had Scott over jacket and trs as well for extreme bad weather (1 day).

Also have a Klim Marrakesh which is great. GF has one too so wear that on tour with her.

  9. @RC1, the label in the jacket says “made in Bosnia and Herzegovina”. Google AI tells me Dainese contract a company called Prevent, which is located in Visoko near Sarajevo, to make leather motorcycle clothing for them. An article from the Sarajevo Times in 2017 states, “Prevent hopes to expand their favilities, to be the largest supplier of leather garments to Dainese”. I really must get off my arse and find something to do :joy: Andy

  10. What about one of these? It's a Bering Maximus and Infinity have them on sale for £99.99, reduced from £234.99.

None of the pics on the internet show the jacket being worn, so I have modelled it just for you.

I really like it. It looks like something that Barbour might make and doesn't look (to me anyway) like a motorbike jacket.
