So is the only material difference between that and a Streetfighter v2 now that the ECU has a ‘detune’ map in it to 109hp? It’s all very samey… there is potential danger of dilution, because the old streetfighter is a completely different proposition to the monster

Its hard to know what fluids any of the models have included in the "wet" calculation TBF. Even so its plus or minus about the same.
Their(Ducati) specs quote wet, excluding fuel. I take that as all other fluids present. Anyway it’s a fat one for sure. ALL manufacturers should quote full wet weight: full tank of fuel, battery, coolant etc etc.
My 698 Mono would so best it down the lanes?! So what segment does it fit in? Kinda between two stools IMHO.

Interesting whether they’ll include an SP now they have the Streetfighter S with the same engine and Ohlins etc. The previous Monster SP filled a bit of a void at the time..
Of course they will do an SP. And an RS, a Claudio Fandango, a Pepe Cassanova, and whatever other specials their marketing department can dream of!
