Came with the bike goes direct to battery by the looks so I’m guessing possibly a battery charger tender? Anyone any opinions Thanks
if you peel back the rubber and inspect closely you should find a random code and a manufacturer, stick that into google ,theres a few different set ups you can either by the female bit that plugs on and attach to a charger or just replace both bits, i did it once and had to redo, solidly soldering and putting shrink wrap on to make it solid,
Just been checking the slim pickings of the 899 market (not that I’m buying or selling) and noticed a couple of figures on the quoted spec I’d question.. Anyone got close to getting 170 out of theirs? (On track of course ) And how the hell did they get 150 miles out of a single tank lol? Must have been chugging along in a bike lane to come anywhere close to that.
Couldn’t load the video….. so here’s a still. There is a YT video of me gravelling into final turn though…..
Oof. What set up did you have? Topped out at 155 on my first and haven’t attempted anything nearly as idiotic on my current one.
Ex P&H Trioptions winner 2014 (Carl Cox), K-Tech internals, Termis, BSD switches, can’t remember gearing though
On a long motorway run I can get 150 to a tank before fuel light comes on. But mine weighs 20kg less than standard.
Not a 899, but I noticed a definite drop in tank mileage on my 999 last summer...it was due to differing fuel quality. I was down 20 km on the tank and bloody well ran out.
I’ve always found the 899 to be pretty good on fuel tbh, last time I went to Nelly’s for my Desmo service ( he’s just under 100 miles from me) I thought there’s no way I’m getting nicked for speeding on the A1, so I just had a steady pootle down, keeping it between 70 -80 mph… Look what I got mpg wise !! Even on a weekend thrash it’ll do low 40’s and the worst figure I ever got was in a track day at Croft when it was showing about 36 mpg Mind you, I think the carbon wheels help it as well.
