ThanksYes I agree. It is strong money for some but I'm sure it's worth it to the right person. I'm happy to keep it until that person comes along
Agreed. I recently tried selling my 14200 mile GSXR 1000 K6 with ‘tasteful’ mods with OEM parts at a reasoanble price and no one was interested. I put it back to OEM, reduced the price slightly and people were fighting for the mods. Sold the bike to a dealer for what I bought the bike for 10 years previously. A bit time consuming but I made more money in the end.
Fast forward two years and I have just bought this bike. Not sure how the story played out with the previous owner, but the bike has just nudged 5200 miles and I bought it from a bike dealer for £9700. Quite a difference from the original asking price! Perhaps a combination of overpricing and the market being depressed at the moment. The bike is mint as was stated on here and a real credit to its previous owners. Each to their own and I’m not criticising but the bike is a little over blinged for my liking and I will be toning it down a bit by removing all the red anodised parts. On the plus side I will be able to recoup some of the cost of the bike by selling it. A rough guess is that there’s probably a grands worth of bits to come off.
Nice work, looks like a great bike for the price once you’ve got it how you like it. For me the problem with red anodising is that it’s not the same red as the Ducati red.
Yes exactly ! The parts are good quality and if they were black or silver I could live with them, but as you say the red is different which makes it all clash.
I think the dealer originally wanted £12k for it and slowly reduced it over the last 6 months.. Have you owned one before ? I still have one and they’re fantastic to ride and look amazing imo. Keep the Termi’s and put it back to standard. The 2012/13 models and colours are rare bikes, not many sold in the UK, maybe 20 or 30 in total across 3 colours.
the red anodising starts off ok but fades slowly in the daylight/sunlight giving it a really aged look, eventually pink in some cases.
