916 916 Light Touring

  2. I just bought a giallo coloured tank bag, hoping to do a trip from my mates wife's timeshare in switzerland to the Ducati museum and back.
    Van the 748's over to Switzerland I reckon.

    Hoping the tank bags help keep weight off the. Wrists as you say...

  3. I use tank bags on my 748, I have a couple, a small one, and a larger, expandable Oxford one. I also have the Ventura rack fitted (the bag (and contents) were stolen in France!). What I did find was that the Ventura bag made getting on and off the bike a bit tricky, especially if there was an adverse camber! I've also used a pair of throw-over panniers. I drape a bit of fire-blanket material over the pillion seat to hang down a bit at the sides. Maybe locate in position with a few cable ties to the pillion footrests etc. Sounds a bit scary, but in practice it works.
