Here's mine.... copied from one of Virginio Ferrari's 888 Race bikes which my friend owns. MQ is I beleive a daughter company to Brembo, and I actually have an identical Brembo caliper fitted at the moment.
So what do I need for the alloy rod/tube? 10mm and then drill and tap for an M8 rose joint? Or bigger...... Thoughts appreciated as I've not one to measure.
OEM is 15.2mm with M8 rose jts ETA - also both jts are right hand threaded so if making a new one from scratch I’d co sider making one end a left hander just because that’s how it should have been done, not because it offers any real world advantage tho
M8 into 10mm-dia rod would not be good, especially when used in tension. Not much material left even if the thread is perfectly concentric. Ah - just seen later post stating ~15mm-dia OEM
The connecting rod exist also in carbon fibre. But i heard if the bike is going backwards and you pushen on the brake the rod snappen. So it had only strenght in one direction. Henk!!!
This set up is normally for a 190 mm disc on a corsa rear wheel. But i see you running a street magnesium wheel. So do you have a smaller disc or is the carbon caliper hanger made longer? Henk!!!
I found the correct caliper and just copied the design, as you say, longer to accomodate the standard 245mm disc. I had the carbon one made up and an Alloy one made, both with separate bushes for the rear axle.
