  4. Had a trip over to Fosse Park in Leicester this afternoon, The Dragon managed to break the door handle on the tumble dryer, so, ended up buying a new one

Got the GSXR750 project out of the living room, ready to book an MoT for next Saturday, will be taking it in the van, as the insurance company want it MoT'd before they will insure it

  5. Reached an SXV milestone....the engine has lasted long enough to change the oil (about 350 miles) which is the first one after the motor was rebuilt. Changed a fraying clutch cable...only a couple had snapped but im a "look after your stuff and it will look after you" type person. As its got a VDB ti race system on it on the back of the back box theres a little trap door so you can easily swap out the exhaust wadding...which worked its way loose so fixed that also...good day all in all...

  9. Infuriatingly, my resting heart rate and diastolic blood pressure are both absolutely rock solid in the green but my systolic blood pressure is everywhere but around the 135 my GP says is the target for a man of my age. Today, had a 20 minute phone conversation with the cardiovascular team, the way forward is blood tests to confirm the normal function of my kidneys before increasing my medication. More importantly, they have arranged for a PSA at the same time followed with a face to face with a GP. Not looking forward to the physical examination but accept the importance for a man of my age. 11. 135? 120 would be better. Good luck.

  12. Thank you Pete. I was diagnosed with Hypertension 20 years ago, keeping a family tradition alive, so my GP gives me a little bit of leeway. Plus I’m the wrong side of 70 and despite what my brain seems to think, I no longer have the physique or fitness of my early 40’s when I enjoyed playing squash :D Andy

  13. Andy,
I am 75 with heart failure. It takes four types of medication to keep my BP anywhere near 120. I monitor it carefully every day. If it reached 135 I would be contacting Cardiology.

  14. Was at the doctors last week regarding my torn knee tendon. She tested my bp at 190/110.
As I was still standing i think the machine or usage was not correct :joy:
