Went to The Stranglers at Roundhouse at the weekend, only JJ left of the original line up, still good though. Was lucky enough to see the full line up on their Aural Sculpture tour, and also see on of the very last concerts Jet Black played. Seeing Hugh Cornwell in the week.
It is simple Chris, but there is a joy in the song that never fails to cheer me up. I like intricate too, but there are some songs that just have an uplifting feel to them, and that is one. This is another; more complex, but just as uplifting.
well nearly - it's another lovely classic but just isn't in the same league, for me anyway. I promise i will tell you if/when the earlier song is equalled/surpassed, but not so far.
