  4. chrisw, sorry to jump in on this post, I have a 1098 which has the termi slip ons and a K and N filter fitted by the last owner, it is running the stock ECU, and does not run great. I can see it is possible to get the ECU flashed to better suit the exhaust, who can do this? can it be done to just the ECU, or does the ECU need to be on the bike? Also the TPS seems like something that requires resetting after any modifications to the inlet / exhaust system, again, who is the best person to do this?
    Thanks in advance.
    Ian

  7. Thanks for the useful post @chrisw ive just got my 1098S and once I’ve got a few other things to my satisfaction I’ll be going the full termi system route.

  8. To clarify then, I've just bought a 58 plate 1098S and I'd like to do the Termignoni full system upgrade at some point. I can either:

    a) fit the full system but not do the ECU upgrade
    b) have my current ECU reflashed (by whom?)
    c) buy the Ducati performance ECU s/h from somewhere currently unknown but probably ebay
    d) buy another standard ECU, get that remapped and then keep my original ECU for when I want to go back to standard (in event of sale etc).

My main motivation would be for the sound and the looks, I wouldn't want any increase in total power, but I wouldn't be adverse to having an improved delivery.

    What should I go for?

  9. a) Why!!!!! Check out effects of lean running
    b)PM me
    c)Doable but expensive
    d) see C but gives you the option to part off the full system/ECU

  10. Thanks for the clarification @chrisw - I've got a number of jobs to do on the bike first so it's not imminent but good to know what to do when the time comes. I'll be in touch when it comes around.
