Looking for a db killer for my termi as is really loud. I know you guys all love a loud exhaust and I can handle this on my 999s but thought this would be quieter but seems even louder. It’s the “ rectangular Ti looking endcan “ that does actually have a thread to hold a baffle but none is fitted. So anyone have one or know a source where I can buy? Thanks Mark
This is what you're looking for - https://www.desmo-racing.com/en/db-...i-multistrada-1200-1260-xml-447_505-5934.html It's expensive, probably because it's titanium. I had a couple spare but I think I gave them away, I'll ping here if I come across them.
That’s looks to be exactly what I am after. Thanks for the quick and detailed response. I will give it a couple of weeks before I order in case you or someone else digs one out.
Thanks for your help. Anyone else in need I found it easier/ cheaper to order from Ducati main dealer £107 total . Still hurts of course but no hassle or inconvenience
Ouch, cost of living is wild. I bought one from MotoRapido for mt 1200 dvt - I thought that was expensive at £60!
Strange how someone decides to let me know what a sucker I was to get ripped off after I bought it but couldn’t be arsed to respond when I was asking if anyone knew where to buy. What a wonderful world eh
to be fair not everyone is on here 24/7 or even reading every post. luck of the draw as to when folks see stuff
Yep , FairPlay - I was a bit harsh. It has quietened it down a bit so you can only hear from a mile away rather than 5 which is ok by me. I understand as I have a full termi fitted, most of the silencing comes via the standard dustbin underneath. Out of interest - why do people fit these these to what is essentially a touring/possibly adventure bike? At least thats why I bought mine, as I have others for sports riding.
I was quite tempted to do it to my 1200. In the end I’ve got a 1098 for all that, but if a Multi is your only bike I think it would be completely understandable, it’s very much at the sporty end of touring. That said, there would be compromises for sound. Part of their appeal is to sportsbike riders who want the power but don’t want the discomfort.
My 1260 came with the full termi system (and baffle) it doesn't seem that loud until your banging up and the gearbox on a mountain pass.
You mean me? MotoRapido is/was a Ducati dealer at the time I purchased and charged me the going rate. Today I am sure MR would have charged the same as you paid. I bought mine in 2014 hence my cost of living comment. That was the point I was making or trying to make . As has been said members can only comment if/when they read a post. Besides one would think if you paid that for it you wanted it and that is all that matters.
I've fit the full system to both of my 1260 Multi's, I don't use the baffle and find it only very loud when really giving it the beans. The main reason is for the upmap to get rid of the horrible mid slump in the rev range via the mapped ecu that comes with the exhaust.
