  1. Except that he's adamant it's not just a slow puncture. I don't remember everything he said, since he'd just woke me up, but I think he was talking about quite large holes. You need a special key to get into this building.

It seems to me a three pipe problem. Unfortunately I haven't got any weed.

  2. We went to Teesside to get my latest tattoo touched up but when we got there the tattooist was literally being ill, so we've had to reschedule for next week.

We came home then went to our local farm shop to order a Turkey and duck for Xmas - They're not cheap are they.

  4. Who would have thought, a couple of days later, I'm here too. We are at the NEC tomorrow but Carole didn't feel right. They couldn't send an ambulance so I took her. Still waiting after an hour. Andy

  11. Yesterday morning, went to the George Eliot hospital to get booked in for their fracture clinic, they hadn't received the x-ray pics through, so they had to send a request, from there, went to my doctors to get a prescription for more painkillers, got a phonecall this morning, appointment is booked for 9am Tuesday, after breakfast, had a steady walk up to the chemist to collect the prescription, now back home again, gonna get very bored very quickly

  13. finally finished fitting my BMS board to E bike battery, and just about to go and test it, although it's nearly freezing outside so will be taking it easy. There's a 14 pin connector on it, and each manufacturer makes a subtle change, making it unique so could've been a lot more wire snipping and soldering. Instead- with a little bit of modifying to the plastic body, it fitted!

  15. Did the DVLA eye test on Wednesday, the results of which are private - not even Specsavers, who did the test are permitted to know the outcome. I have said before, that we are dealing with very strange people there.

Went back today for a normal eye test coz I fink that I need reading glasses. Specsavers think that I need hospital treatment instead, so no glasses but mucho waiting. Could be Bristol or Cheltenham eye hospital and I have been to both before and they are both horrible places to visit. I cannot drive to either and both ensure that they are nowhere near railway stations!

  16. @Ducbird, hi Viv, A&E doctor was unsure of the issue and it was too late to do bloods so got back to the hotel at 3:15am. She's feeling a bit weary with only 3 and a bit hours sleep but we have just arrived home for a 4:30 appointment at our local GP surgery. Blood pressure is a funny thing, currently not as scary as last night but still way to high :( Fingers crossed it's temporary and resolved quickly. Andy x

  18. Thx

My expectations of "working out for me" are very low. If it is Cheltenham Eye Hospital, where I was sent originally, it was "well, what are you expecting us to do?" I reply with, "I have no idea. I was just sent here by an optician"

If I was to go to the local medical centre with an ailment and the Doctor said, "Well, what are you expecting me to do? Deal with it, twat!" I would feel mightily aggrieved, but that is what I got the final time that I went to Cheltenham. Even to the extent that I was told to come back after 5hree months. I made the appointment (actually, they did) and I went back. Then it was, "Why are you back? what are you expecting us to do?" "I don't know but you told me to come back after three months, so I am back!" "We never really meant that and assumed that like most people that come to see us, You would not bother return." So after that I never bothered with it again but now Specsavers want to try again. Actually if asked, I will say that I want to go to Bristol. Cheltenham is a waste of space.

  19. Perry it seems something is very wrong.

Either the eye doctors are deliberately belligerent/ obtuse, have not explained the situation correctly, or you have misunderstood.

How well do you get along with your GP? Can you arrange to visit him/ her with the correspondence and get to the bottom of this? The GP if concerned -and they will be if you are not receiving the correct treatment- can step in to have your case reviewed and get you another referral. You can also apply for a private surgeon to see you and have an examination.

It might be a good way to spend some of your compensation? Maybe you could ask that brother of yours to come along and sort this out once and for all?
