916 Correct Torque Settings

Discussion in '748 / 916 / 996 / 998' started by Martyn Edwards, Nov 21, 2025.

  1. Just re-assembling after fitting some HeliBars to the 916 and got to the torquing up stage. The 'Upper Bracket/Top Yoke/Triple Tree (same item numerous names!) has 3 M8 clamp bolts and due to the different nomenclature I cannot find reference to the correct torque setting for the 3 top yoke bolts that clamp the forks and steering head. Can anybody enlighten to what value they should be torqued?

  2. 20-24 nm as far as I am aware.

  3. Thanks for that, all done. An item that has many names that we use but none used in the manuals
