  1. 3 p per mile is just for openers. Future budgets will obviously inflate that to 6 - 9 - 12 pence per mile in due course. Can't you just hear the Chancellors' announcements?

  3. Try pulling the trigger on something way out your budget. I’ve said ‘fuck it’ loads of times :D

  4. I don’t think the financial factor was in question in this specific scenario
I did once mutter ‘he’ll yeah’ when I ‘pulled the trigger’ on a Porsche, admittedly it was a while back but the feeling remains

  5. Finance wasn't a factor........it was the fact that

    1. do I really need a new car (the current car is 4 years old, looks good and goes well),
    2. It's new on the market, are any issues ironed out
    3. It's Chinese
    4. It's a hybrid and I've never had an electric car

  7. We have a 19 year old diesel, bought early this year for a banger rally. 1.5 dci clio estate. Though, I do like to remind my mate that it is, in fact, a ‘Sports Tourer’. Well according to Renault!
    MOT a month ago, £80. o_O
Been down through France, Italy, Nice in France and back. Never missed a beat. 55mpg.
Decided to keep it till it expires. Could be next week, might get a few years. Thing is it goes, stops, starts first go…compare that with the latest gen of warning lights, adblue, led displays that dont work etc.
    Motorcycles heading the same way.

  8. My tuned 20 year old R53 Mini Cooper S is just about the most fun you can have for £2.5k that doesn’t involve copious quantities of Colombian nose beer, so I’ll be sticking with it until Starmer’s stormtroopers prise the steering wheel….
