  1. My 36k desmo has been due a while , had the last one done at Nellys but getting there and back was difficult this year.
Anyway I saw Ducati Manchester were doing a penny a part deal on servicing so sceptically booked it in and managed to get everything done , new front disks a penny each , new headset bearings etc etc …….
Saved me a small fortune as it was a tricky job apparently.
Bikes mint and rides like new so I’m made up
Hats off to Ducati Manchester for what turned out to be a great deal , for me at least .
    14 half rings :bucktooth:

  10. Just paid £275 at my local dealer for what was a basic/minor oil/filter service for me 899.
Week before had minor service on the GS1200. £125. (oil/filter etc).

  11. I did the exercise - out of curiosity. The list price for the parts supplied comes to £1655.69.

If I assume they buy the parts in at, let’s say 30% off list, maybe it’s slightly more discount, maybe slightly less, but as a guesstimate, their cost would have been £1160.

At least 6.2hrs labour for the Desmo service, plus say another hour to change the rear pads and the front disk rotors & pads (assuming nothing was seized).

Depending what they pay their technicians, the bill presented, £1300 wouldnt have covered the parts and their employment costs.

Maybe they got caught with their pants down under their winter offer on your bike and it’s a one off situation for them but I do hope it’s not a signal of a desperate need for cash flow :(
