I’m having a bit of an issue on an 899 with regards to the radiator deflectors which are at the top left & right of the radiator shroud. They’re spring loaded and are in the up position when the steering is straight ahead. As the steering is turned they should be pushed down by the bottom triple clamp on the fork leg as it engages. The issue on this particular one is they catch in the lower cut out/slot of the triple clamp and thus get caught there and can’t fold down. I’m probably just having a mental block but I can’t, for the life of me see why they aren’t correctly aligned so they don’t get caught. The bike was in for some work and I removed the radiator assembly as a single unit complete with its shroud so it’s not as though I disconnected the deflectors and reconnected them incorrectly. Any ideas?
What side of the bike is that when sat on? Left or Right? The part in the picture is marked R = right?
That photo is of the right hand side. The flaps are correctly installed. Not at all. It’s weird, I’ve never encountered it before
Looks like are you missing or have removed the plastic "plate" that screws under the bottom yoke? It's that that should push the flaps down. They shouldn't touch the fork legs at all.
