The ST range are notorious for how difficult it is to remove the bodywork, even to do something which should be simple such as access the battery. There is a file out there in the internet somewhere which shows how the bolts can be replaced with Dzus fastners which speeds the process up in the future and means the side panels can be removed without having to remove the mirrors and nose fairing.
