Featured New Bike (but Not A Ducati, Sorry !)

Discussion in 'Other Bikes' started by Mattie821, Dec 20, 2025.

  1. For January 2026 delivery.

I have been looking at all kinds - even the Ducati V2 Multistrada, but decided against it as I really need some more outside lane OOMPH ! More horses !

Also want back to 17 inch rims for a bit of cornering action and a good choice of tyres.

In the search I looked at the MT-10 - but had one already, thirsty and been around a while now. The GSX-S1000 - had two of those already - good enough, but a bit basic. Only a few more £££ gets something better. Ducati Monster - had one of those as well

This looks like a bang up-to-date Japanese in line 4. Loads of power and torque, easy to live with in the real world, very reasonable price, well made, good enough spec, Ohlins, quickshifter, cruise control.....

And its not too green !
Kawasaki Z1100 SE. This should do the trick !

  5. Please don't throw me off the forum for buying a green machine ! Pleeeeeeeease......:D

Got to work out how to carry luggage on it yet.
OE tyres are probably suspect and will probably need replacing soonest...
Gold D.I.D. chain instead of the rust magnets that are sometimes OE fitment....

    A Kawasaki, whatever next .......

  6. A Ducati, hopefully ;)

  7. Cardinal bring out the comfy chair! I have a love/hate thing with Kwaka's but the ZX-4rr is interesting. Good luck mate have some fun with it.

    • Thanks Thanks x 1
  8. Owning a Ducati is "like making love to a beautiful woman" then you find out her friend is a Kawasaki.

  9. Looks like fun, good choice. :upyeah:

  10. My first litre bike was a Z1000,and was absolutely bullet proof, that never let me down.
Ended up putting 30k on it,and still regret selling it on.......

  11. Wow, that is good to hear and nice picture. Does not look that different in design to the new one - they must know what they are doing by now. Did you manage to fix some luggage on it then ? Was the picture taken on a tour, or is that where you lived then ?

I have only had one Kawasaki before - a KMX200 - so this will be the first decent one.

Very impressed with the build quality (whilst it is sat in the showroom !) - and the thing is a Kawasaki 1100 cc four cylinder. Really looking forward to it.

  12. So thats a non ABS 2012 model, and omg I rode that bike everywhere, and also as a daily to and from work
Basic by todays standards, but such a pleasure to ride....
Pic was on a tour in and around the Black Forest at the time, and was using a Kriega tail bag,and a bagster tank bank....
Good luck with the new purchase

  14. Have you had one before ?

I keep looking at them as well, since they came back in 2021.

There are some really nice colour schemes - this anniversary edition and a special edition version being introduced for 2026. Personally I have only one bike at a time and this is a bit much for an only bike !

May as well get one if you have the space to keep it looking nice !

Gleaming Hayabusa - at a summer bike night ....

  16. To be sure, not its best feature. I think Akrapovic make some smaller end cans for it though.

Collected new bike today, so registered in 2026 rather than 2025 - that is why we waited a couple of weeks. If feels really quite small. Going to need a new lid as I can't glance down and see the dash because of the big chin bar on that Shark lid.

Good to be on a Super Naked bike again :upyeah:

  17. Good looking bike , looks a lot of fun, like the Green wheels..
Do they make a tail tidy for these yet?
    Enjoy it mate

  18. Thanks, it does look different.

At least Evotech have the bike in their list of Kawasaki models - but no products listed for it yet. I am finding the bike is not even listed on other aftermarket product sites.

  19. After market manufacturers always seem a bit slow on Kawasaki stuff for some reason. Back in 2004 I bought the new Zx10r as a track bike and it was so new I couldn’t get anything for it so in desperation I contacted Hawk Kawasaki race team and they helped me out with race fairings, rearsets and a few other parts. They were brilliant actually and I seem to remember they were very reasonable on pricing :grinning:

  20. The Kwak looks good

I’m in the same boat, I have a hankering to add a super naked to the stable and am not sure on the Streetfighter, was considering the KTM 1390 Superduke but don’t like the look, I am very tempted with the new Trumpet Speed triple RS though.
I’ll road test all three and see how I get on, but the £7k diff between Ducati and Triumph is also a consideration
