A hobbit might turn up. Or the elf tart who's quite hot until you realise she punches bible like a pro.* *Doesn't really work because she was always in it and not at that point an elf.
I agree with the above, it's totally stand-alone in terms of how it makes you think about the possibilities of time and space and connections, love it.
This evening I’ve watched the Christmas edition of Mortimer and Whitehouse “Gone Fishing” and then I watched “Havoc” starring Tom Hardy.
Youtubing as usual with Davide Tardozzi racing a Bimota back in the day, i didn't know he was an ex-racer or just forgotten over the years.
The Choral. Not the best Alan Bennett by some measure IMO, but still worth a watch. Perhaps we'll see some choral music enter the 'hip parade'..
Just watched Yalla Habibi, the Fort9 ride around the world. Sheer madness, especially India. Very edited down to fit into the limited hour and a half but a riveting watch. Some nice cinematography considering the only cameraman was pillion on Ryan's bike. A coup for Ducati who provided the bikes on each continent.
agree, best flick I've seen this Christmas, I bet Maggie Smith would have loved to have been in this.
just watching 2000 Metres to Andriivka. It's a real wake up call for me, if I were to ever think that I was hard done by. Available on YouTube.
Thanks Chris, I'll check that later. I watched 'Ukraine: Enemy in the Woods' last year, it had a similar effect on me.
I know I say this every year but what a load of tosh on the tele this festive season. TV has obviously changed beyond recognition to what it was when I was a kid (3 channels) but there was always the big M&W or 2R’s Christmas special and then the big movie premiere on Christmas Day and New Year’s Day. But now it’s just 40yr old films regurgitated, not just once but over and over and seeing how many characters will die on the soap operas. My sister bought a Radio Times (£6.50!!!!) and said there wasn’t a single thing worth highlighting it’s no wonder mainstream tv is facing a bleak future? Probably watched more stuff on subscription streaming services than traditional tv this year?
Watched “Relay” on Amazon Prime, Good film with a decent twist I didn’t see coming. one of our New Year’s resolutions is when looking for a movie we just pick something within 5 mins from the first streaming channel we launch rather than spend an hour flicking though and then deciding it’s too late to put a film on
Just getting into Stranger Things on Netflix. On 2nd series now and totally hooked. To be honest, it was a slow burner to begin with but compulsive viewing now. Not to be watched whilst eating your dinner though
