It looks like one of those Nordic thrillers except there is no Saga.

  4. Just read the story about that.
    Polzeath in Cornwall
Allegedly some rich guy was meditating Local kids built a sandcastle in front of him which spoilt his view so he asked them to knock it down. They refused so he said he would do it himself. They had built it over a granite rock.

  5. Looks like a busted up Audi! I think it's owned by the angry looking bloke that doesn't like sand castles.

    Is she called Saga?

  6. (my poor attempt at humour: – "car stall")

yes, she was in "The Bridge" - nearly always wore leather trousers, and drove an old Porsche

  10. I can’t see who or what you’re replying to but it sounds similar to something which happened when I was a teenager, except it involved a snowman built around a concrete pillar which broke my mate’s ankle when he launched a Bruce Lee style flying kick at it :joy:

  11. It also sounds similar to a bunch of us teenagers racing down the beach towards a traffic cone, the ‘winner’ kicked it like he was taking a penalty - someone had filled it with pebbles, it hardly moved…

Multiple broken bones in the foot, how we laughed, well most of us did anyway.

Fortunately not my foot as I was never the athletic type

  12. I did that at VI Form with what I thought was a small football sitting in the middle of an empty sports hall. It turned out to be an indoor shot put, a hard plastic sphere filled with concrete, and it broke my big toe.

  14. And there’s no way an Audi driver would have been meditating.

  17. I know Polzeath beach really well and it doesn't look right to me.

Plus, to get right over on the Port side as you look out to sea in a car you'd need to pick a way through the rocks defining the car park then cross the fresh water run off which will be wide, deep, and fast at the time of year the clothing suggests.

Either that or use the entrance on the other side of the beach that the various people allowed to be right down on the beach use, and that's quite well controlled.
