  4. Many years ago, when I used to play a lot of golf, we always used to go out after it had snowed fortified with a bowl of porridge and thermal long johns.

It was always treated as a bit of a rule breaking giggle mind. Pick and place was the order of the day with the snow scraped away behind the ball and for putting we used to clear a small channel to the hole so the ball would rattle from side to side and invariably go in :D

Obviously the course was really quiet so you could rattle around in 2 1/2 hours rather than waiting behind someone who was taking 5 minutes lining up a putt that took them 9 shots to get to... : unamused:

  6. I’ll find out on the next visit…

  7. Currently had 4 visits to a new dentist in the last month. Charges so far have been, £75 for a new patient consultation/check-up/x-rays, £160 to replace a broken filling, £75 for the dental hygienist and £190 for a new filling. My “forward dental plan” also includes the replacement of a further 2 old/broken/poor quality fillings at £160 each. Then I broke a tooth just before Christmas which will be “assessed for treatment” next week. Worst case scenario, I’m looking at another £800 for a crown. That's my gas and electricity bill for a year :p Andy

  8. Add £100 for a gold one sir ?

Btw, I did exactly that but one's gangster cool became no more apparent... ho, hum.

  9. Add about £250 for a gold one according to my dentist, due to the price of gold being through the roof.

  10. When I registered with my new dentist (when I moved to Northumberland in April 25), before the policy kicked in, I had to have a full check up.......£155 I wasn't expecting to fork out

  11. Are you now reconsidering retracting your resignation letter? :joy:

  15. Since i commented on the Jaecoo thread, Facebook keeps throwing up lots of posts from ev threads.
A lot of people posting about failures early in their ownership with problems that stop the cars. I know only people with problems post but a lot of these problems seem to immobilise the vehicles there and then which would be a bit worrying

  16. Having been born in the early 1950’s and grown up with toys that were clockwork, I’m not familiar enough with social media technology to understand how or where that link is made. How does FB see your forum posts ? Andy

  17. From the posts I've seen I would reckon that 99% of the problems are down to the fact that the owner/driver has come from an ICE car and hasn't RTFM.

EV/Hybrids are quite different from ICE cars and you need to understand what they do and how they do it to get the best out of it.

  18. I hope that "this" ^ is never the case for you Terry, i'm sure you've studied all the clauses re: Warranty (and possibly even refund worst case!) in this event*.

  19. I've spent most of the morning on to various local government depts trying to sort something out.

  20. I have absolutely no idea, but it has been a noticeable increase in ev posts over the last month or so.
