Pre-ordered this, I like the content that Ryan and FortNine put out. I have the impression that this is going to be quite interesting.
Watched it this morning, worth seeing. Somewhat heroic/foolish/impressive all at the same time, especially the India leg. Kudos to Ducati for supplying the chain of bikes.
I haven't seen it but had a laugh at some social media comments complaining the video felt rushed, to me it kinda seems like the whole point of the trip. I hate to say it just seems a bit gimmicky, manufacturer support with new bikes on each leg. Granted, they still did the miles but what does any new attempt look like? A roll on/roll off private jet to cut more time on flight schedules?
I think you should watch the film, it is only $9.99, rather than relying on social media telling you what to think about it. They certainly did do the miles - and I never knew Ryan "Fortnine" could ride a bike like that. Amazing film, really, forget what social media says, what may / may not come in the future - tap the card for $9.99 and enjoy the film.
For me I wouldn't waste my hard earned on watching him, he's bad enough when it's free. His early stuff was very good but to me now he's just become another clickbait vlogger. Maybe just a victim of his own success and he feels the need to keep the viewing figures?
Up to you, but I think you are missing something for theoretical / intellectual reasons - park all that and enjoy a quite stunning film. This was done on Ducatis after all - and it is a race which adds significant risk / danger / drama with the added risk of failure. They could have done a nice ride around, stopping at all the picturesque spots - cheesy smiles for the media. But they didn't. They were at times flying a drone from the back seat of a fast moving bike - whatever you might think of Ryan - he flung that big Ducati around with a cameraman on the back who was at times flying a drone ! I notice they were not using Tomtom sat navs Honestly just park all that overthinking it and just enjoy the show ( although a bit tense at times !)
I’ve not watched it yet but I’ve watched him on YouTube for years and he can certainly handle a bike well.
I'm certainly not overthinking it and if you're happy to pay for my viewing then I'll happily endure it but outside of that I'll take my chances that my life won't change whether I watch it or not
It amazes me that anyone on this forum needs convincing to watch this - and even more amazing that some people on here will not watch it. A world record racing round the world on Ducatis - decently produced film - a few quid only to watch it. And people on a Ducati forum are not convinced that such a thing is worth watching. How bizarre Anyway, it has changed my life - it has convinced me not to ride a bike in India !
