Just been cold called by someone (probably an AI generated voice with a late middle aged, white, British, woman’s timbre) claiming to be with the UK Solar Council, telling me I’m eligible for free ………… Can’t tell you exactly what I’m eligible for because that was the point I hung up. Yes, there is a UK Solar Council, it is a Government led body (QANGO) to advise on strategies to meet the 2030 UK commitment to use solar energy. No it doesn’t offer anything free or subsidised to UK residents. Andy
Me and my better half compete as to who can keep the scam BT helpline, who cold call concerning our Internet providings, on the phone the longest.. 27 minutes is the record until they blow a fuse and start calling us names.. can highly recommend it.. we dont even have BT.
i get 100 calls a week from these folks. they always start the same way "hello, my name is ##### how are you today?" to which i'll reply using one of these. .
