I mate/colleague has just bought a new Omega, I think a moon watch but I’m not sure. It was £15K should’ve been £20K but as the shop in Worcester were behind on sales they knocked £5K off! £15K to wear on your wrist! I’d buy a multistrada instead
Jez, lots of copies out there, ranging from the above to £200, but the originals are completely different, as im sure you will appreciate, most importantly the movement etc. All the others are cheap copies made in various Chinese factories, the official watches are made in house at Seagull and are 22 jewels. The last two pics show the genuine article.
Ive just ordered the cheaper £20 for every day use lets see what the quality is like when it arrives in a fortnight
The £20 watch had probably benefited from some photoshop, or even a genuine watch used for the pics? I will be interested to hear your report. Buying higher value items online that are not direct from manufacturers is always a gamble. The exception being Apple as my other devices prove or disprove whether they are Apple via connectivity. Anyhow give me a holler when the other one arrives!
Got my helicopter escape drills tomorrow. Two to three meters down? This should cover it… I’m such a tit… Better angle…
It’s the same price at Timpson’s. I know the CEO employs ex-cons but I thought he was trying to reform them, rather than encouraging their thievery. Apparently they also pressure test the watch, but given that it’s only worth about £30, I’ll change the battery (cost 35p) myself and take the risk. That’s the watch, FWIW
Just make sure you use the helium valve else you will get a poor reading ............. Ive got a GMT and a Sub . I tried on a DSSD but it just sat so high on my arm every long sleeved item of clothing would catch too much. Just too chunky for me. But the blue to black is lush.
Recently donated my Sea Dweller to my son. I used to dive many moons ago Red Sea while in North West Saudi. Never used a dive watch back then but have since built up a mini collection… I’ve always done stuff arse about face…
i had a couple of citizen aqua lands, great watches, look the part, recorded depth and time, that was over 30 years ago, and i had the deepest tan and sun bleached hair from diving everyday miss that life
I can’t remember what watch I used But I do remember I always used a diaphragm mechanical depth gauge- and I still would. They can’t go wrong, unlike a computer… Yeah, I have fond (and very naughty) memories of those days too.
i videod this, believe it or not was on the same dive, same tank, tank was empty when the whale turned up , hence just below surface
