Went out lunchtime for a bit of fresh air (at the office) waltzed over to Fowlers to order some spares.... 1. Spares counter closed down. 2. There goes my fucking 20% discount. Bugger....thats a big downside (99% of my time at Fowlers was being able to walk through the door and walk away with spares) most of the time..phoned in, (as theres a click and collect service) spoke to a woman on the end of the phone - who was nice enough but didnt seem that worried about helping.... Hope they reconsider but i doubt it...the personal service was great...gonna miss the lads...always used to have a good chat with them...!
Somebody has asked today about something that i've up 4 sale, but it's good job they did asked me because my warehouse keys are missing. Shutting down X is just the shitty government controlling the narrative in my humble opinion.!, NO Action on the rape gangs doing their thing with young girls.
Custom DMs got a rare outing to Sainsbury's. I thought the following was probably meant to be in superscript But there's too much wrong to be HTML. So I reckon it's 'Super Ended'. Like terminate with extreme prejudice.
Tetbury Hospital today. Same shit, different hospital "What the fook are you here for? "I was sent here by Specsavers, as they kind of believed that you are an eye hospital and know about eyes." "Specsavers are crap and they waste our time." "And that's my fault, is it?" They put shit drops in my eyes and I've now got some vision back. I'm done with cooking eye hospitals and opticians. I'll get some reading glasses from Amazon
The offences allegedly took place between 2000 & 2013. AFAIK 9 have now been jailed in the last year. I don't know of any that were jailed prior to last year. https://www.cps.gov.uk/cps/news/ope...al-106-years-sexually-abusing-two-young-girls As awful as it is that there are bound to be scum involved in the Rotherham (and other incidents) something is very wrong with this picture. There must be something wrong in the Police Forces who have not been able to apprehend these men since 2013. Were any jailed before 2024?
Went for an eye test on Saturday, and as my prescription has changed, thought I’d treat myself to a new pair of specs. Now, I know that Vision Express aren’t cheap, but when they want £340 for a pair of Oakleys with lenses, and I can get them for literally half the price online, bar a few pence, really do wonder how they are still in business. Especially as they no longer make up glasses in store, and quote 7-10 days for delivery, they really have no USP any more. So I’ve ordered online (from a small independent optician based in Kent), and have absolutely no shame about doing so.
Jeez. Squash knackered me in about 30 seconds when I was on house and school football teams, rugby teams, Sunday League football, Shotokan karate lessons, and 100m and relay in the school sports. Mind you in the cross country or whatever running round the school God knows how many times was called I was in the contingent fucking off to the pub for a couple of pints and half a dozen fags. But still...
I did it last year, you can now defer it once with very little justification, but you can’t defer a second time. I did the same as you, went in feeling like I’ll do my bit. And after 2.5 days of literally sitting in a little dungeon doing nothing while barristers argued and the cases didn’t go to trial I was beginning to list out the crippling cost of these inefficiencies to the tax payer. Then there is the fact they won’t start a case after lunch… so it was all just a terrible waist of time. I ended up doing 2 cases, one was complex and one was simple. Honestly you come away completely soul destroyed, if not by the wasted money, by the other people you serve with, our group of 12 had a woman who just always went to guilty because “he looks like a down and out druggy” and it just becomes so frustrating pushing people’s prejudice out of the argument. I for one actually welcome the changes to reduce the use of public jury, it’s honestly such a waist of money and I’m not sure the objectivity is there anymore. Especially seeing as I’ve seen both the ‘defendants’ out and about in town, which doesn’t make me feel terribly warm and fuzzy
